You've just spent 10 minutes creating the *perfect* study soundscape. The beat is right, the noise is muffled just so, and the LFO is pulsing gently.
Don't lose that hard work! The "Preset Manager" (at the very bottom of the generator) lets you save, load, and even share your creations. Here's how.
How to Save Your Current Settings
- Create your sound.
- Go to the "Preset Manager" panel.
- In the "Preset Name" text box, type in a descriptive name. (e.g., "Deep Sleep 2Hz" or "Pomodoro 15Hz").
- Click the "Save Current" button.
That's it! Your preset is now saved *in your browser's local storage*. You'll see it appear in the "Your Saved Presets" list.
How to Load a Saved Preset
The next time you visit the site, you can get your sound back in one click.
- Go to the "Preset Manager" panel.
- Find your preset in the "Your Saved Presets" list.
- Click the "Load" button next to its name.
All the knobs, sliders, and settings will instantly snap back to the state you saved them in.
How to Share a Preset
This is one of the coolest features. You can share your exact sound with a friend, or with us!
- Load the preset you want to share.
- Click the "Copy Share Code" button.
- This copies a long string of text to your clipboard.
- Paste this code in an email, a text message, or a forum post.
How to Load a Shared Code
- Copy a "share code" you received from someone.
- Go to the "Preset Manager" panel.
- Click the "Load from Code" button.
- A popup will ask you to "Paste preset code...". Paste the code and click "Load."
Their exact settings will now be loaded into your generator!
Pro-Tip: All the presets we've designed in our blog posts (like the "Lucid Dream" or "Power Nap" presets) were created this way! We'll start including the "share codes" in our articles so you can load them instantly.
