The Pomodoro Technique is a simple, effective time-management method:
- Work on a single task for a 25-minute, hyper-focused "sprint."
- When the timer rings, take a 5-minute break.
- After four "sprints," take a longer 15-30 minute break.
Binaural beats are an audio tool to help you get into a state of "flow."
When you combine them, you get the best of both worlds: a proven *structure* for your work and an audio *tool* to make that work more effective. And our Generator has all the tools you need.
The Perfect "Pomodoro Sprint" Preset
Let's build a session designed for a 25-minute sprint.
Step 1: The Timer
Go to the "Session Timer" panel. This is our Pomodoro clock.
- Duration (minutes): 25
- Fade-out (seconds): 5 (This is a nice, gentle way to end the session).
Step 2: The Focus Beat (Alpha/Beta)
We want an "alert focus" state, not a sleepy one. A low-Beta beat is perfect.
- Beat Frequency: 15 Hz (Low-Beta for active concentration).
- Carrier Frequency: 220 Hz (A clear, neutral tone).
- Tone Volume: 60%
Step 3: The Distraction Blocker (Pink Noise)
This will act as your "sound wall" to block out everything else.
- Noise Type: Pink Noise (more balanced than white noise).
- Noise Volume: 25%
The 25-Minute Workflow
-
Prepare (1 min):
Choose your *one* task. Close all other tabs. Put your phone on silent. Save this preset as "Pomodoro 15Hz". -
Engage (25 min):
Put on your headphones. Press Play. Your 25-minute timer starts *and* your audio begins. Work *only* on your chosen task. Don't check email. Don't look at your phone. -
Rest (5 min):
After 25 minutes, the audio will gently fade out. Your sprint is over. Stand up. Walk away from your desk for 5 minutes. Get water. Stretch. Do *not* just browse the web (that's not a real break). -
Repeat:
When your 5-minute break is over, come back, hit Play again, and start your next sprint.
This is a game-changer. The audio cues your brain that it's "focus time," the 15 Hz beat helps you get in the zone, and the timer enforces the discipline.
